With an engineering background and extensive operational experience in automation of the built environment, Mark has developed as a leading authority on the use of Quality, Employee Engagement and Customer Loyalty to drive deserved business success. To Mark, these aspects of organisational operation are not desirable but vague concepts, but are instead building blocks that can be measured, developed, and leveraged.
A growing interest in Quality Culture led to Mark serving as Convenor for the development of ISO 10010, Guidance to understand, evaluate and improve organizational quality culture, which was released in 2022 and is receiving increasing levels of attention as a driver for positive change.
Through Six Pillars Consulting, Mark now consults, teaches, and writes extensively in his areas of expertise and interest. In addition to his business commitments, Mark is a passionate long-distance runner and traveler, and delights in sharing stories of his role as a volunteer lumberjack working in the National Forest.
